In a statement after the local council meeting on Wednesday afternoon, the bloc called an urgent meeting of the government pact –shared by BNG, PSOE and Esquerda Unida– so that it is the socialists themselves who “clarify the situation” of Malvido, since she herself requested this Thursday the voluntary withdrawal from the party while waiting for the Federal Commission of Ethics and Guarantees, in Madrid, to decide on your situation.
The BNG recalls that the Cangas government is made up of three political parties “and not between individuals”. That is why, after the deputy mayor left the ranks of the PSdeG-PSOE, she called this meeting to ask that party to communicate “who will be the person who will take over” the delegations of Iria Malvido.
“From the BNG, we understand that it is the responsibility of the PSdeG-PSOE to clarify the current situation with the current deputy mayor, since by not being part of the latter, she should not continue to be part of the coalition government of the Cangas City Council. If this situation is not resolved, the BNG Local Council, through its powers in the municipal government, will proceed to withdraw the delegations transferred to the current City Council due to inappropriate behavior for a public office”, concludes the statement of the nationalists.
In the said writing, Nationalists deplore the “serious acts against public and road safety” committed by Malvido in the early hours of Tuesday, while reaffirming his “commitment to safety.”
