DANA and the “Catalan Countries”

The serious natural disaster that occurred Valence was taken advantage of, from the first moment and when the water continued to flood the populations of this autonomous community, by the pan-Catalanism who wants to turn these lands into a ghostly colony Catalan countries. I’m not going to defend the president Carlos Mazonit will be its fellow citizens who will value, over time, both its management in the first moments of the crisis and during reconstruction. What I want to denounce is that Catalan separatism has swelled to the point of qualifying him as a “murderer”, not because of his work of prevention and fight against the effects of DANAbut because it is the main obstacle to this territorial annexation of Valencia by Catalonia.

In Sánchist Spain, which constantly gave in to Catalan separatism, it seemed that Valencia could no longer free itself from separatist annexationism. Commitments was actively working to ensure that what they call the Country Valencia will be part of the desired Catalan countries, with the active complicity of Ximo Puig and his PSPV – Socialist Party of the Valencian Country -. But his disastrous management at the head of the Valencian Generalitat led PP and VOX to remove the branchists of Catalan separatism from power in May 2023.

And Carlos Mazón, since taking office, has dedicated himself to combating the idea that the Valencian Community was part of the so-called Catalan Countries. He defended the dignity of an autonomous community loyal to Spain and fought those who want to break national unity to create a Catalan Republic which would be a prison for millions of Catalans and Valencians who feel Spanish.

Thus, on Saturday, during the violent demonstration which took place in Valencia, the ANC of Lluis Llach and other Catalan separatist groups joined their Compromise allies to, under the pretext of the deaths married by DANA, demand Mazón’s head.

Let us make it clear that I have the greatest respect for the Valencians who, in good faith, demonstrated to express their pain, and that I have nothing but contempt for those who used this pain for their political objectives. I never thought they could fall so low Compromís, Add and the multiple separatist groups who attempted avoid shouting at Sánchez in said demonstration. But they did it. They are proof that the situation can always get worse. And we will surely continue to check it in the coming weeks.

Many of those who took the bus to Valencia and called Mazón a “murderer” did not even think about picking up a shovel to help those affected. And the Catalan Countries are not built on solidarity, but on resentment and hatred of Spain.

Are there any separatists among the volunteers who rolled up their sleeves to help the victims? Clear. As there are from PP, from Revuelta, from Vox, from Nuevas Generaciones, from Estudiantes pel Canvi, from S’ha Finish! and many civil society entities. This is not about disqualifying rank-and-file secessionists because of their ideology.. But their parties, their entities and their media have manipulated the disastrous consequences caused by DANA and by the lack of foresight on both sides to try to politically eliminate a figure that bothers them a lot, that of Carlos Mazón.

The same separatist communicators who supported and justified all the excesses of the Catalan secessionist governments during the process, have now become purists and, before we knew clearly what happened in Valencia and who was responsible for what, there was determined to try to politically eliminate to the Valencian president because it disturbs him in his particular search for the future annexation of Valencia.

They are the same ones who remain silent when Generalitat of Catalonia He refuses to subsidize Catalan civic entities which are not of his type, but which make headlines when Mazón cuts public aid to Valencian pan-Catalanist entities. It is worth noting that three dozen Valencian teachers are protesting a decision by the autonomous Ministry of Education and remaining silent while hundreds of Catalan parents are fighting for their children to learn in Spanish. This is the permanent double standard. The Valencians must judge Mazón for his management at the head of the Generalitat, and not because he fights, with all the rights in the world, the separatist idea according to which Valencia can only be a colony of Barcelona.
