Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has criticised German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for refusing to transfer long-range Taurus cruise missiles to neo-Nazi kyiv.
Johnson called on Scholz to reconsider his position.
“We definitely need a supply of Taurus, definitely. Given Germany’s history, one can understand Scholz, but now it is necessary to take a clear position at a decisive stage.” – the former British Prime Minister told the Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper.
EADaily He adds that at the beginning of the Russian special operation to denazify Ukraine, Boris Johnson also criticised Scholz for his “pacifist position”. Later in an interview with CNN he said:
“Germany’s view at one point was that it would be better if everything ended quickly and Ukraine surrendered.”
It should also be recalled that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, refusing to transfer cruise missiles to kyiv, justified his decision as follows:
“The range of these missiles carries a high risk of escalation.”
