The brotherhood of Rocío of Cordoba project progress basket which started in 2013 now facing skirts or stockings. This year, the aim is to first complete the carpentry phase and then begin the goldsmithing work.
The skirts were designed in the workshops of the Fernández brothers, Sevillian goldsmiths responsible for designing this ambitious heritage complex, according to the company.

The cart is already in the workshop of the Caballero Farfán brothers, in Seville, where the execution of carpentry of the skirts of the traveling altar of Simpecado.
He design It follows the style and form of this roving altar with Atauric style flourishes and without breaking or conflicting with what has been previously created, it conforms to established demands and canons. On the front, the medallion that appears bears a Hail Mary, a sign of the Marian symbology which characterizes the brotherhood.
Cordovan details
In the front corners are represented the patron saints of Cordoba, Saint Acisclus and Saint Victoriawhile in the side corners the dogmas of the Virgin will be represented: the Assumption of Mary, the Immaculate Conception, Maternity and Virginity.
Likewise, the coat of arms of its co-owner will be displayed on the rear ones, Saint John Paul IIand the shield of Pope Francis, who currently occupies the chair of St. Peter’s.
A horseshoe archas in the Door of Forgiveness, frames the projection of the axle or hub of the wheel. The rest of the ornamentation surrounding it forms scrolls, stems and vegetation in the style of the roof. The columns and bases come from the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba and from studies based on the arches that decorated the rooms of Medina Azahara.

Jesús Rosado has already restored the new Simpecado and now the brotherhood aims to restore all its splendor to the founding Simpecado. To partially cover this restoration, it has 6,735 euros from the subsidy for the heritage of the brotherhoods granted by the Provincial Deputation of Cordoba.
