China considers it necessary to improve the quality of cooperation with Peru and all Latin American countries. This was stated by Chinese President Xi Jinping during a meeting with Peruvian President Dina Boluarte, TASS reports.
“China and Peru must promote the integration of value chains, improve the quality of pragmatic cooperation between the two countries, between China and Latin America,” – said.
Xi Jinping pointed out the need to “summarize the successful experience of bilateral cooperation” with Peru, strengthen ties in trade and investment areas, and increase cooperation in both traditional and new industries.
Beijing, he said, values friendly contacts with Lima, “is optimistic about the prospects for interaction between the two states” and is willing to jointly promote the Sino-Peruvian comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level.
The Chinese leader is on a state visit to Peru, where he will participate in the 31st informal meeting of leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum.
