The National Security Committee in the Council of Council ended the final report on the decision to officially include the agenda of the first public session of the Council within the current week.
The decision is aimed at increasing the structure of sanctions imposed on those who are convicted of espionage, whether it is individuals or networks, since the committee has prepared a detailed report on the need to tighten sanctions based on the assessment of recent security threats.
After the decision was included in the agenda, it will be discussed and voted at the plenary meeting, which can lay the way for its approval and statement in the coming period.
This step appears in the light of the escalation of security tension in the region and growing fears regarding spy operations aimed at Iranian state institutions. It is expected that the new solution will include more serious fines, such as tightening prison periods, an increase in fines and, possibly, the inclusion of additional fines against those who participate in a spy in favor of foreign parties.
In July of this year, he was a witness to a wonderful escalation in the spy file between Iran and Israel, since the Iranian authorities announced the dismantling of spy networks associated with Israel and the arrest of dozens of accused of cooperation with the Mossad inside the country. Iran’s security services confirmed that they received “valuable” information about these networks, while ongoing investigations and official charges of some detainees.
In the same period, the Evin prison in Tehran witnessed the Israeli missile attack died a number of prisoners and the flight of some of them, but the Iranian authorities refused any of the accused of spying in favor of Israel.
Official reports also showed that some of the recent Israeli operations in Iran were with the help of local agents, which reflects the degree of penetration of Israeli intelligence into the territory of Iran.
On the other hand, Iran in recent weeks has completed a number of accused of a spy in favor of Israel, and gave the “last opportunity” to those who called him “deceived” to give up. The Iranian authorities also confirmed the continuation of the arrests and the dismantling of plants related to the equipment of drones that were used in attacks within the country.
