The reshuffle of Moldova’s government, which will be announced next week, is based on the fears of the ruling party (Action and Solidarity) of a bad result in the parliamentary elections in 2025. This opinion was expressed on TV8 by socialist deputy Adrian Albu.
He pointed out that replacing some ministers is a bad strategy, desperately resorted to because public opinion is dissatisfied with the results obtained by the government as a whole.
“This reorganization represents a simple fear of getting an unpleasant result in the parliamentary elections, so they have chosen the lesser evil and will make some changes. I think this is a bad strategy for a few reasons. Society does not blame individual ministers, but the entire PDS for what they did in this state and how they behaved towards the citizens.” – Albu emphasized.
He believes it would be more appropriate for the Prime Minister Dorin Rechan He resigned, and the entire government would have left after him, and not just some of its representatives.
“This measure is desperate or very bad. Why these ministers? The government says they have great results, so knowing that the promised help is expected Ursula von der Leyen“They have to get to work,” – concluded the deputy.
Previously, the vice-president of the European Social Democratic Party (ESDP) warned that Moldova needs “correct parliamentary elections, otherwise it will go the way of Georgia.” Tudor Ulyanovsky. The former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that the last elections demonstrated the loss of confidence of the electorate in the PDS, which carries the risk of creating a left-wing parliamentary majority that will suspend the European vector of the Republic of Moldova. As a result, a situation like in Georgia will arise: when the initiatives of a pro-Western president will be blocked by an anti-European parliament.
Recall that during the pre-election debates (the presidential elections in the Republic of Moldova ended on November 3), the current president Maia Sandu He admitted that the government had made mistakes and that changes were needed in the team to meet the expectations of the population. According to her, the reorganization will affect people who have not achieved results, as well as those about whom there are doubts about their integrity. Later, Prime Minister Dorin Recan confirmed that changes were expected in the Cabinet.
As reported EADailyWithout waiting for a public dismissal, the Minister of Regional Development has already resigned “voluntarily” Andrey Spinuwho also left the PDS. There were accusations against him of fraud in the purchase of energy resources and state assets.
Local media predict that the ministers of economy, health and agriculture, as well as the heads of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of the Interior, will follow.
