Given the devastation caused by recent DANA in Valenciaa new solidarity group, Interior designers in actionarises with the aim of transforming pain and loss into hope and renewal. This group, made up of more than 200 experts from the decoration, interior design and architecture sectors, came together to lead an immediate and effective response in rebuilding homes damaged by the storm.
“When we are asked who we are?, we will not respond with a list of first and last names, because this association is based on a focus where it should be: on the people involved and their needs, nor on egos personal or business profits. », explains Interioristas en Acción, which brings together leading professionals in the sector, all committed to the mission of helping families who have seen their homes devastated.
Thanks to a network of collaborators that includes, in addition to architects, interior designers and decorators, numerous furniture, household appliances and building materials companies (among many others), donations and logistical support will be delivered in the most transparent and efficient manner possible. affected people with a safe and habitable space, the minimum necessary to lead a dignified life. The main objective of this project is to offer affected families functional and welcoming housing. To achieve this, alliances have been established with businesses and volunteers who will donate products, time and skills, from basic household items, such as washing machines and refrigerators, to supporting professionals in the design and architecture.
THE IDE Foundation (Foundation for the Promotion of Development and Integration), NGO whose social purpose focuses on the socio-professional integration of people with disabilities and/or threatened with exclusion through education and sport, as well as commitment to the environment; collaborates closely with Interioristas en Acción on this project. Your support ensures that all donations and assistance are managed with maximum transparency and efficiency. The FDI Foundation will oversee every step of the process, ensuring that resources reach the families who need them most effectively and efficiently. For its part, the brand Peralta Vidavispecialized in the design and manufacture of lamps and screens, which, as a company established in Valencia, will be responsible for coordinating and boosting the intervention of Interioristas en Acción after the passage of DANA.
The donation delivery and tracking process will be managed by the team of volunteers and the professionals who make up Interioristas en Acción, ensuring the traceability of each given resource. Since the first reception at Valencia Fair (which makes its facilities available free of charge) until final delivery to families, data management tools and questionnaires will be used to optimize each phase of the project. In these premises, families with dependent minors, dependent people and those in critical economic situations will be given priority.
A call to action and collaboration
The sole purpose of this statement is not to introduce the group, but rather to issue a call to action: “We invite businesses, organizations and individuals to join this cause”, because even if what has been made and progress is significant, this is not the case. This is enough to mitigate the scale of the disaster. From Interioristas to Acción, they specify the help needed to maximize their support in three blocks:
- Donations: “In many cases, these are people and families who found themselves without the most basic things”, they say and refer to any donation concerning furniture, toilets, tiles, household appliances and, finally, the essential equipment of a home. .
- Transportation: “We are looking for companies capable of collaborating in the safe and efficient transfer of large donations”, because without the necessary logistics, both at national and local level, the project and aid cannot be implemented.
- Visibility: “As we said, we, who form Interioristas en Acción, are not relevant, we are not looking for visibility; but yes for the project”, they reiterate from the group, requesting any support from the media, social networks, influencers or any platform wishing to give visibility to the association.
And this is how, “together, we can restore dignity and hope to the families affected by DANA in Valencia”. Every donation counts and every gesture of solidarity “brings us closer to our goal of rebuilding homes and lives”, they conclude, referring specifically to Valencia, the challenge that saw them born, but which will continue wherever this group will be necessary.
