This Thursday evening, the president-elect was the protagonist of the gala dinner of the conservative America First Policy Institute, which was held in his mansion and social club, and during which he was presented by the actor Sylvester Stallone, who referred to the Republican as “the second George Washington.”

Stallone attended a gala on Thursday to celebrate Trump’s election victory, attended by many members of his controversial cabinet, including RFK Jr and Matt Gaetz.

“When I did Rocky, if you remember, the first image was a picture of Jesus and a sign that said, ‘Resurrection, AC Club,'” Stallone told the audience before Trump took the stage: ” I found a church transformed into a boxing ring. From there, the image changes from Jesus to Rocky who was the chosen one, and that’s how I. I started the journey: something was going to happen, this man was going to transform and change his life Just like President Trump We are facing a truly mythical character. This individual does not exist on this. No one in the world could have achieved what he achieved, I’m amazed.

“And I will just say this, and I mean it,” Stallone continued: “When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he was going to change the world. Without that, you can imagine what the world. And you know what? We have the second George Washington.

“A true miracle”

Argentine President Javier Milei and United States President-elect Donald Trump congratulated each other Thursday in separate speeches at a conservative forum gala being held at Mar-a-Lago, the Republicans’ private club. in Palm Beach (Florida).

“Javier, I want to congratulate you for the work you have done to make Argentina great again. It’s amazing how you’re fixing this,” said former President Trump (2017-2021).

“Your speech was magnificent, but the work you have done is incredible. Make Argentina great again. “You are a MAGA (Make America Great Again) person,” Trump told him during the speech.

“I think your numbers work. “You have done a fantastic job in a very short period of time,” Trump said.

Milei previously highlighted the Republican for “his resounding victory and the greatest political comeback in history, taking on the entire establishment and even putting his own life in danger,” he noted in reference to both attacks he suffered during the campaign.

“Today, the world is much better because a much stronger wind of freedom is blowing. A real miracle and reliable proof that the forces of heaven are on our side,” Milei added.

The libertarian president also met at the gala with billionaire Elon Musk, whom he also congratulated on his appointment to the new United States Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE).

Milei spoke with Trump at the conservative America First Policy Institute’s gala, where hundreds of guests gathered, although the two leaders did not have a bilateral meeting.

From today until next Saturday, Mar-a-Lago is the headquarters of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), which brings together investors in this trend.

Milei is the first foreign leader to meet with Trump after his victory in the last presidential elections on November 5 and before his ascension to the presidency on January 20.

The Argentine president said before leaving for Florida that his intention was to seek a free trade agreement (FTA) with the United States and ensure that Argentina benefits from better conditions in its relations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Likewise, he indicated that Trump admitted to him in a telephone conversation that he was his “favorite president” in America, so between them they will “grow” both the United States and Argentina .

Before the event, Milei held private meetings with American businessmen in Miami.

Milei met Trump in an informal meeting on the sidelines of last February’s edition of CPAC, where they greeted each other cordially and both expressed best wishes for their respective political projects, while the Argentine acknowledged his admiration for the republican.

Milei’s visit to the United States will be short, as this weekend he will receive French President Emmanuel Macron in Buenos Aires, then he will travel to Brazil to participate in the G20 summit and he will also receive in Argentina’s capital, the Prime Minister Italian, Georgia Meloni.
