New attacks targeted the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital on Friday morning, causing a cloud of gray smoke over Beirut, according to images from Agence France-Presse, following a call for evacuation published by the Israeli army.
“To all residents of the southern suburbs, specifically (…) in the Ghobeiry area (…), “It is located near facilities and interests affiliated with Hezbollah, against which the Israel Defense Forces will vigorously work in the near future.”Avichay Adraee, Arabic-language spokesman for the Israeli military, had previously reported urging residents to evacuate.
