On the fifth day of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Baku, an event called “Net Zero Map: Building a system” was held in the Green Zone sustainable energy”.
Oku.Az reports that in this event moderated by ADA University professor Damjan Krnjevic Miskovic, the global transition towards net zero emissions was investigated, focusing on the main objectives and scenarios mentioned in the Paris Agreement.
During the panel session, COP29 CEO Elnur Soltanov, SOCAR Green CEO Elmir Musayev, State Secretary for Decarbonization of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Moldova Karolin Novak, and Barbara Botos, Special Ambassador for Climate, Ministry of Energy, Ambassador. of Hungary on Special Tasks, discussed the topic they took up.
Discussions focused on the business perspective and discussed how industries are transitioning to new energy models, investing in green technologies and adapting to global sustainability goals.
Experts also discussed the economic challenges of transitioning energy systems, including infrastructure investments, policy changes and technological progress.

In addition to the technological and economic aspects, the event discussed the human and social aspects of the energy transition, paying attention to the idea of a just transition.
