The 28-year-old Galician athlete affirms that “life is made up of cycles; that begin and end” and that “there are moments in life that we enjoy 100%, that are accompanied by learning, experiences, successes and defeats, but above all that are accompanied by people who mark a before and after and these last 8 years have been one of those times.

With Pedroso as his coach, Peleteiro managed to become European champion, twice third (bronze) in the world and also an Olympic medalist. Of course, the Galician athlete has just played in a big disappointment by placing sixth in the triple jump final at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

And most of all, thank you for supporting me in this decision,” says Ana Peleteiro.

“These years have been brutal and today we close this book as only we know how: happy, embraced and united,” says Peleteiro, who says he takes “a friend for life and thousands of lessons” which will continue to be put into practice until the end.

The Spanish champion adds that “now it is time to bet on another project, to look for new motivations, new learnings and to continue growing professionally, but from another place” and assures Pedroso that he is and always will be his family in capital letters.
