Schlössle-Bier, one of the oldest breweries in Bavaria, Germany, was forced to close due to financial losses.
Oku.Az TASS reports that the company has been operating for 334 years.
According to reports, beer production will be discontinued at the end of the year. This decision is said to be based on economic reasons.
“Beer consumption is declining, but raw material and energy prices are rising,” the plant’s statement said.
The Schlössle-Bier brewery was founded in Neu-Ulm in 1690. The brewery has been in the Zoller family’s hands for over 135 years.
