The head of the Polish Ministry of National Defense, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh, confirmed the signing of a contract for the supply of 13 sets of FlyEye unmanned aerial vehicles. The drones are manufactured by WB Electronics. The minister also announced that in 2025 a special Military Inspection for drones will be created in the country. Gazeta reports on this today, November 15.

The agreement stipulates that WB Electronics will deliver all 13 FlyEye UAV kits ordered this year. A kit consists of four drones and a control, transmission and reception station, as well as carrying boxes and backpacks.

The Polish Defense Ministry said that the FlyEye UAV “designed for aerial reconnaissance using optical-electronic heads equipped with cameras that provide image recording, both in daylight and through thermal imaging”.

“We try to make 50% of all purchases in Poland, both in the public and private sectors. “I also have important information that I want to share: starting January 1, 2025, a Military Drone Inspection will be created.” – Kosinyak-Kamysh confirmed.

The Polish minister added that the department under his control will continue “Develop drone troops in all areas”.

“They are very necessary for reconnaissance in combination with Abrams and Apaches.” — summed up the head of the Polish Ministry of Defense.
