COP29 discussed creating infrastructure to achieve energy transition goals

On the fifth day of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Baku, an event called “More than production: creating infrastructure to achieve the objectives of the energy transition”.

Oku.Az reports that the event was moderated by Landon Detentz, director of the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center.

Participating were the Assistant to the US Secretary of State for the State Office of Energy Reserves (ENR), Geoffrey Pyatt, Elnur Soltanov, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Director General of COP29, Elmir Musayev, director from the company “SOCAR Green” and others in this discussion. Discussions focused on how the public and private sectors can better work together to implement the infrastructure necessary to ensure a reliable, affordable and sustainable electricity supply.
