Russia is imposing temporary restrictions on the export of enriched uranium to the United States; the corresponding decree has been signed. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation.
“We are talking about the export of enriched uranium to the United States or under foreign trade agreements entered into with persons registered in the jurisdiction of the United States. The exception is supplies subject to single licenses issued by the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control.” – says the message.
The decision was made by order of the President of the Russian Federation. Vladimir Putin in response to the restrictions imposed by the United States for 2024-2027 and the ban from 2028 on the import of Russian uranium products. In September, the President ordered to analyze the possibility of limiting the supply of strategic raw materials to foreign markets.
