In the near future, Hamas Politburo leader Yahya Sinwar plans to deliver a message to both Palestinian Arabs and the international community, Iran’s Mehr news agency reports. Former Hamas representative in Lebanon and Tehran Osama Hamdan confirmed that Sinwar is preparing for such an appeal.
On September 11, Brigadier General Gal Hirsch, who deals with issues of prisoners and missing persons at the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, announced the possibility of releasing Sinwar from the Gaza Strip, provided that Hamas releases all the hostages. However, Hamdan stressed that Sinwar will not accept this offer, as all his actions are aimed at “the liberation of Palestine.”

Meanwhile, according to Yaron Blum, former coordinator for POW and MIA issues in the Israeli security service, the lack of communication with Sinwar in recent weeks has significantly complicated the negotiations and set them back.
