Hostage negotiations: Qatari media reported pressure on Netanyahu

According to information published by the Qatari publication Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed, mediators from Qatar and Egypt, with the support of the United States, are increasing pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to resume hostage negotiations and find ways to end the conflict.

Channel 12 reports this.

Negotiations to free the hostages have reportedly been stalled for weeks and the gap between the positions of Hamas and the Israeli government remains significant.

Sources say the main problem is that the parties’ demands differ significantly, making it difficult to reach an agreement. Netanyahu’s position changed more than once during the negotiations, which also added difficulties to the process. Despite all the efforts of the mediators, the situation remains in limbo and no concrete results have yet been achieved.

However, international pressure continues to mount. Mediators hope that, under the influence of the efforts of Qatar, Egypt and the United States, they will be able to convince Netanyahu to return to a more constructive dialogue and reach an agreement.

Cursor previously reported that Galant and Austin discussed efforts to free the hostages and restore security in the north of the country.

Kursor also reported that Hamas terrorists turned a school in Beit Harun into their headquarters.

The terrorists turned the Beit Harun school into their headquarters and, as a result of the IDF’s actions, “studies” there will not resume anytime soon.
