The advisers of the new team have begun to present the legislative program to the Chamber. However, before the start of the commission with the appearance of Ibone Bengoetxea, first vice-president and Minister of Culture and Language Policy, an anecdote occurred that will be remembered for years to come: a used condom appeared on the floor of the room.
The Parliament’s bailiffs removed the condom with a piece of paper and placed it in a trash can, although it is unclear whether it was a joke or whether the case actually involves someone abusing the facilities. Some MPs, such as Ikoitz Arrese of EH Bildu, recorded a video of the moment laughing. Officially, no information about the event has been offered. Bengoetxea began the intervention at 9:39, nine minutes later than planned, although there had been other procedures within the committee beforehand.
