The Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, spoke out following the dismissal of the president of Adif, Ángel Contreras, after less than a year at the helm of the public manager of the railway infrastructure. Regarding the reasons why this decision was taken last Friday, Puente said that it was in response to “an initiative of the ministry which aims to form a team that works with a ministerial strategy.”
Finally, he highlighted the work carried out by Ángel Contreras during his nine months in office, specifying that his profile “does not adapt to the needs of the new strategy”. “Adif must think about the user, that is why we are going to implement new changes. It is a strategic decision to restructure the way Adif works,” he concluded.
