The writer Boris Akunin* (Grigori Chkhartishvili***), who previously said that he does not consider the Russian language free and has negative feelings towards people who speak it, presented a new LEGO novel, where the main character is Russian literature. A video of the public presentation, which took place in London, is available on Zima Magazine’s YouTube channel.
“This is a love story because it is the love of my entire life. My beloved is going through difficult times, everything Russian, as you know, is now spoiled and tarnished, and all Russian literature has turned out to be guilty and bad.” – said Akunin*.
Listing the great Russian authors, the writer, who calls himself “a knot in the tree of Russian literature,” pointed out that they, too, are largely to blame.
“Pushkin is to blame for writing two stupid poems; Lermontov is guilty of participating in the colonial war; Gogol is to blame for the fact that he changed his ethnicity because of… the fact that he became a writer in a different language and so on. We will not talk at all about Dostoevsky, he is an obscurantist and a xenophobe.” – said the writer.
akunin* he noted that now he himself cannot defend Russian literature as one of its representatives; He suffers a lot from this; But a writer always has a good way out: writing a book.
“That’s what I did, it was my personal cure for depression.” – concluded the author.
Let’s note that on the cover of the book there is an image of the dead “The Swan Princess” from the famous painting by Mikhail Vrubel, only instead of a face it has a skull. This image personifies current Russian literature.
As reported EADailybeginning of February Akunin* He was included on the international wanted list and arrested in absentia. It was clarified that the writer is accused of publicly calling for terrorist activities and spreading false news about the Russian Armed Forces.
Later, accounts worth 6 million rubles were confiscated from the writer’s wife by court decision. According to investigators, this money is the joint income of the spouses and was used as a means to commit crimes. The arrest was imposed in December last year and later extended.
In August of this year, the Moscow Khamovnichesky Court fined the Russian writer 30 thousand rubles for violating the procedure for the activities of a foreign agent.
