“4SI Academy” made it to the finals of the “2024 Outstanding Achievement Award”.

The “4SI Academy” implemented by the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM) under the Ministry of Economy and the Educational Development Fund (TIF) under the Ministry of Science and Education has reached the final of the “Outstanding Achievement Award 2024” of the American company “Coursera”.

Oku.Az The 4Sİ Academy reports that among 170 projects submitted by 42 countries, the 4Sİ Academy provided training of qualified personnel in the labor market, development of digital skills, increasing knowledge in the field of advanced technologies, ensuring inclusion and attraction of citizens of the city and regions of Baku to the program and applying innovative solutions advanced to the final stage thanks to the contributions.

Coursera, the world’s most popular educational platform, annually presents the “Outstanding Achievement Award” to partners who have made significant achievements in human capital development. During the selection, the number of people participating in online education on the educational platform and the international certificates obtained, the number of career advancements based on new knowledge acquired, and other indicators are taken into account. The final stage of the competition will be held on September 17 in Las Vegas, USA.

The purpose of the 4SI Academy is to support the development of digital skills in the country, increasing knowledge in the field of advanced technologies and training qualified personnel for the labor market. Within the framework of the project, 10,000 people across the country benefited from the online education platform Coursera for free within 1 year. 800 participants from 40 universities such as Yale, Duke, Michigan, London, Illinois, Virginia and technology companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Meta and Google on the 4th industrial revolution, digital transformation, professional and language skills were suggested to take advantage of the course. Users attended more than 32 thousand hours of video lectures on 4SI technologies, artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, data analysis, blockchain and cloud technologies, programming languages, as well as leadership, communication, business, management and other areas. Those who successfully completed the training received more than 4,000 international certificates in total.

The project is planned to be continued as a national programme.
