The tourist ship was suddenly overthrown on Saturday during a trip to the Vietnamese Tourist Bay in the Gulf in the midst of a thunderstorm. At least 34 people are dead, and eight are absent, as state media reports.
There were 48 passengers and five crew members on a boat recognized as a wonderful sea, all Vietnam citizens. The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon (local time), when a sudden storm with a strong wind hit the group during its visit to one of the most tourist regions of the country.
According to the VNEXPress newspaper, rescue seminars managed to save 11 people and pulled dozens of corpses in the crash area. Initially, 12 survivors were registered, but later the number was fixed.
Among the rescuers was a 14 -year -old boy who was found alive, spending four hours caught in the boat up. The authorities confirmed that most passengers were tourists from Hanoi, including about 20 minors.
The tragedy comes as a new tropical storm named Vipha, goes to North Vietnam. The National Meteorological Center warned that in the coming days this phenomenon could affect the coastal zone of the Ha Ha, which further complicates the search and salvation.
