The noise generated both by the presence of the president in La Moncloa and that of his wife in the Assembly of Madrid is no longer heard by citizens. No one other than a far-right hooligan showed the slightest interest.
Begoña Gómez’s appearance at the Commission of Inquiry of the Assembly of the Community of Madrid ended with the same result as Pedro Sánchez’s personal statement as a witness at the Moncloa Palace.
No one could have the slightest doubt about the sterility of the two apparitions. It was known with absolute certainty that both Begoña Gómez and Pedro Sánchez would refuse to answer any of the questions put to them and, therefore, there would be no gain in bringing them to trial.
From a legal point of view, neither the decision of the PP parliamentary majority in the Madrid Assembly nor that of Judge Peinado makes sense. Both fired with wet powder.
I also don’t see what advantage we could get from a political point of view. The noise generated both by the presence of the president in La Moncloa and that of his wife in the Assembly of Madrid is no longer heard by citizens. To any person other than a hooligan The far right showed the slightest interest in either of these two appearances.
Why is Begoña Gómez still politically and judicially persecuted? Does the PP of the Community of Madrid hope to be able to find evidence that will allow it to fuel the complaint that Judge Peinado is investigating? Do you think that we can deduce from the statement of the rector of the Complutense University an indication of an activity constituting a crime on the part of the president’s wife? Knowing, as they cannot ignore, the rector’s opinion, why do they persist in calling him to testify to reaffirm that the conduct of Begoña Gómez and that of the University was legally irreproachable?
Does Judge Peinado hope that at some point he can link the President of the Government to a possible irregularity in the professional conduct of his wife, which will allow him to present a reasoned declaration to the Second Chamber of the Supreme Court open an investigation against him?
Because, at this point in the film, it is clear that the extension of the investigation into Begoña Gómez has no other meaning than to somehow reach her husband so that his conduct can be brought before the Second Chamber of the TS.
This has become known since the Second Chamber of the TS annulled the decision of the National Court which had convicted the founder of the union known as Mains Propres for extortion. With this decision, the TS protected the execution of the said union and implicitly authorized it to continue on the same path.
By the time he did so, the hunt for Pedro Sánchez was already underway, targeting his wife as a step to get to him. There was nothing until that moment except some news from the tabloid media, but with this news, Manos Médicas prepared her complaint and Judge Peinado admitted her for treatment.
Although there is no reason to file a complaint and even though absolutely nothing has been found since then to keep her alive, she still has not been filed. For how long? I don’t know, but I feel that it will remain open until Judge Peinado, as grotesque as his legal reasoning is, considers that he can submit the “motivated” report against Pedro Sánchez to the Second Chamber of the TS .
Progress in constitutional degradation does not stop. We will see what the endurance of the jug is and how far it has left to continue going to the source.
