Masoud Pezeshkian: “Iran has no intention of acquiring nuclear weapons”

“Iran has no intention of acquiring nuclear weapons, but is threatened by the United States and Europe, which have forced it to abandon the development of its missile field.”

Oku.AzAccording to TASS, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made the remarks during his first press conference with the participation of Iranian and foreign journalists after taking office.

“We are not trying to get nuclear weapons. But the United States and Europe are threatening us with stopping their missile programs. If we don’t have missiles, they will bomb us, like they did in the Gaza Strip,” Pezeshkian said.

According to him, Iran never wanted any conflict to break out, but Israel tried to drag Tehran into the war by killing Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas’s political bureau in the country’s capital.
