Franco Colapinto enter the points in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. His first points in just two races. And Williams is so amazed by his performance that they are looking for a team for him. And it looks like Audi could be your destination for next year.
Ames said it James Vowles Speaking to ‘Formula 1’: “Of course he’s still part of the Williams family, but he I hope I can continue to compete somewhere…”.
“I want to give Colapinto a seat for 2025 and ideally in Formula 1. In reality, there is only a team (Audi) and we will see what we can do there“, explains the man who will be at the head of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon.
“In two races, Colapinto showed the world that he deserves a place in Formula 1. We will see what the possibilities are at Audi and if we can find a way to work together. I think Albon and Sainz are still the right team for Williams as we continue to grow and want to challenge for the title. However, I am incredibly proud of what Franco has achieved,” said Vowles.
Williams has no place. He trusts 100% in his future couple formed by Carlos and Alex. But they don’t want to give up on Colapinto. And Audi could be his destination for next season.
In two races, Franco has already scored more points than Logan Sargeant around the world. It is clear that Williams made the right choice with this change.
