Guests at COP29 in Baku have the opportunity to get to know the nature of Azerbaijan at the photo exhibition by American photographer Brad Wilson.
Oku.Az reports that the exhibition “The Other World” presented by the Heydar Aliyev Center in the Blue Zone within COP29 invites you to discover the beauty of our country’s fauna.
Brad Wilson, whose classic animal portraits are found in private and museum collections, is unique in the works presented at COP29 because the animals are painted on a black background without context or distraction. The portraits created by the photographer in this way encourage an internal dialogue between the viewer and the images, reminding people of the eternal connection with nature.
The American photographer, who visited our country in August to organize the exhibition, visited the alpaca farm in Shamakhi, the Safari park and also took many photographs with the Karabakh horses at the Bina equestrian center in Baku.
During the presentation of the project at COP29, author Brad Wilson and curator Olga Daniele expressed their gratitude to the Heydar Aliyev Center for supporting close knowledge of the nature of Azerbaijan and the rich culture of our people. The photographer described Azerbaijan as “a place that embraces modern ideas in art, architecture and lifestyle, and at the same time does not forget and honors its past.”
In his works, Brad Wilson tries to capture unusual and complex moments along with the surrounding beauty. It is no coincidence that his photographs have appeared in articles and advertisements for “Microsoft”, “Apple”, “Sony”, CNN, “CBS News”, World Wildlife Fund (WWF), “Greenpeace”.
