IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi outlined the conditions for ending the military operation in Lebanon.
“The Times Of Israel” writes about this.
According to him, attacks against Hezbollah will continue until Israelis who were forced to leave the northern regions of the country can safely return to their homes.
Halevi noted that Hezbollah has already suffered serious losses: the organization’s chain of command has been destroyed, many militants and infrastructure have been destroyed. He stressed that the military will continue to attack Hezbollah, inflicting maximum damage on it, in order to undermine its ability to carry out military operations.
According to the chief of the General Staff, the Israeli army acts accordingly, implementing previously prepared plans and deepening its attacks against militant targets. He said the operation would end only when safety was ensured for civilians to return to their homes.
These comments were published by the IDF after Halevi visited the Lebanese border village of Kafr Qila, where he became personally familiar with the situation. His statements confirm the IDF’s determination to continue the operation until its objectives are fully achieved.
