A student’s botched training at the Wuxi Vocational School of Arts and Technology in eastern China ended in a bloodbath. He failed his final exams, did not receive his diploma and, in retaliation, stabbed eight people to death.
“A knife attack occurred on a campus in Yixing, east China’s Jiangsu province, on Saturday afternoon, leaving 8 dead and 17 injured.” – reports the Chinese newspaper The Global Times, citing local public security authorities.
According to them, the suspect was arrested at the scene. According to preliminary investigations, the Chinese publication reports, the 21-year-old suspect surnamed Xu graduated in 2024.
“He carried out the attack as an act of retaliation. I was not able to pass the exams or receive a diploma and I was also not satisfied with the compensation for the internship. The student returned to the university to express his anger. Xu confessed to his crimes.” – reports the Global Times.
