Owners of the new BMW X1 crossover in the United States have sued the manufacturer. This was due to the fact that the cars’ robotic transmission was too slow.
Oku.Az “Carscoops” reported on this.
According to the publication, buyers of the latest-generation model introduced by the Bavarian brand last year complain about the lag of the “robot” transmissions, which increases the likelihood of accidents.
According to the plaintiffs, the crossovers respond to pressing the accelerator pedal with a delay of up to seven seconds.
Car owners said the slow gearbox response poses a threat to life when overtaking cars at intersections and when changing direction in time is necessary.
According to experts, the slow operation of the unit may be due to failures in the clutch system, faulty mechanical components or software glitches. Buyers of Bavarian crossovers are demanding a refund of the money spent on the purchase of the car.
