Türkiye will provide weapons, military equipment and material support in Syria in accordance with the new defensive agreement, officials of the Ministry of Defense of Turkey said on Thursday.
The announcement was made a day after the meeting of the Minister of Defense of Turkey Yasar Guller with his Syrian colleague Muhur Abu Kasra, in which he signed a memorandum about the understanding of military education and counseling, confirming the support of Ankara.
Request for assistance in violence and regional interventions
Last month, Syria called for Turkey’s support to strengthen its protective potential after religious and ethnic conflicts that erupted in the country and intervened Israel.
According to officials of Turkish officials, the agreement provides that Ankara will share his “knowledgeable and experience”, supplying military equipment, weapons and support systems to increase the potential of Syria.
Transition government in the climate of instability
The Syrian transition government is faced with more and more complex problems to restore order, almost 14 years after the civil war and the overthrow of former President Bashar al -by the Islamist rebels in December.

On Wednesday, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan warned Israel and Kurdish forces to stop actions that threaten Syria stability, accusing them of undermining the reconstruction efforts.
Fidan pointed out that in the Syrian democratic forces (SDF), which are supported by the United States and the Kurds prevail, postpone the introduction of an agreement reached in March to unite them with the Syrian army.
Political processes and new tensions
Last week, representatives of various ethnic and religious groups of Syria held a conference in Hassak, calling for the creation of a decentralized state and the development of a new constitution, which guarantees religious, cultural and ethnic pluralism.
The Syrian government condemned the meeting, claiming that there were people with the aspirations of separatists. As a result, he announced that he was no longer going to participate in negotiations with SDF, which should take place in Paris after an agreement in late July. The date of negotiations has not yet been established.
