Nine people have been detained in the Krasnoyarsk Territory after the death of three patients suffering from alcohol and drug addiction through intravenous drip, the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia reported on its Telegram channel.
“The First Investigation Directorate for Particularly Important Cases of the Main Investigation Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia initiated a criminal case against nine members of an organized group that illegally provided medical services in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Krasnoyarsk Territory for the treatment of persons suffering from drug addiction and alcoholism, which led to the death of three people (part 3 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation),” the message says.
According to preliminary data, the suspects offered paid withdrawal services to people suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. Droppers containing potent psychotropic drugs were used for this purpose. As a result, three people died.
It is reported that during the searches, medicines and documentation of interest to the investigation were seized.
“The investigation is currently identifying other members of the organized group, as well as patients who suffered from their illicit activities.” – the department added.
