The governing body of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Baku has launched initiatives to focus global attention and accelerate climate action.
The “Report” informs that COP29 President, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev, presenting the COP29 action plan, said that Azerbaijan is honored by the trust shown by the world community to host COP29.
“But we cannot solve the climate problem alone,” said the COP29 president.
He called on the world community to show solidarity.
These initiatives include the Baku Initiative on Climate Finance, Investment and Trade, the COP29 “Green Energy” Zones and Corridors Commitment, the COP29 Hydrogen Declaration and more.
