They are developing a platform with advanced digital services to facilitate personalized nutrition

Technology hubs AINIA and ITI have developed an advanced digital services platform that enables food companies to provide nutritional recommendations tailored to each individual, taking into account factors such as genetic profiles, eating habits and microbiome analysis.

The project FOOD4ONE IIco-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), has managed to overcome the traditional limitations of personalised nutrition. Thanks to advanced technologies such as DNA sequencing or microbiome analysis, they can be integrated into accessible digital tools that allow for more effective management of intolerances, allergies and metabolic diseases.

The platform integrates various sources of information, from sensors and wearable devices to nutritional databases. The project has also progressed effective management of data in the food sector. The developed data space allows to process and store large volumes of information related to food and health, facilitating the creation of services that could mark a before and after in nutritional personalization.

The results obtained have enormous potential to transform both the food industry and society. The digital services created ultimately enable companies to better adapt their products and services to the specific needs of their consumers. In addition, the ability to merge data from genetic profiles, dietary habits and microbiome analysis on a single platform opens new avenues of innovation in food product development.
