Donations of 2.6 trillion rupees, but ask for a tuberculosis test

Through the Bill and Melinda of Gates (BMGF), billionaires provided the funds of Indonesia grants. Nevertheless, he wants Indonesia to become a clinical test site for the tuberculosis vaccine (TB), which he developed.

Since 2009, BMGF has been distributing more than $ 159 million (2.6 trillion rupees) to Indonesia, especially for the health sector.

Funds are used for various initiatives, including the purchase of vaccines and strengthening the production capacities of the vaccine in the country.

One of the specific examples is the support of Bio Farma, a pharmaceutical company owned by a state enterprise (BUMN), which can currently produce two billion doses of a vaccine against poliomyelitis every year.

Gates laid out tens of billions of dollars to various immunization programs in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

However, for his philanthropists, a big question arises: is the Gates power in the vaccine’s affairs too large to leave it like that?

Since 2000, BMGF donated more than 50 billion US dollars to the global healthcare sector, which makes it one of the largest donors for organizations such as Who, Gavi and Cepi.

For example, in Gavi, the Gates Foundation became the second largest participant after the British government, with donations reached more than $ 4 billion.
