A fire broke out at the ODK-UMPO plant in Ufa, injuring two people, the press service of the company announced today, September 17.
“A fire broke out at the ODK-UMPO foundry during the dismantling of window frames. As a result, one employee was hospitalized with burns and another with mechanical injuries. The reasons for the incident are being established.” – the message said.
Investigators inspected the scene of the incident, ordered a forensic medical examination, and interviewed management and employees of the organization.
“An investigation is underway into an accident that occurred at one of the enterprises in the city of Ufa. According to preliminary data, during the dismantling of aluminium windows in one of the workshops, two employees of the enterprise used a gas cutter, the gas-air mixture ignited, resulting in the injuries of the men.” – the press service of the regional Investigation Directorate reported.
The press service of the Republican Ministry of Health clarified that the burned worker is in extremely serious condition and was transferred to the intensive care unit of the burn center.
