The Press Service of the Ministry of Defence has been abolished.
According to information obtained by Qafqazinfo, the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, signed an order in this regard.
According to the order, the Press and Public Relations Department was established instead of the service to implement the communication resources of the Ministry of Defense in a centralized manner and in accordance with the requirements of the Communication Strategy.
Colonel Anar Eyvazov was appointed head of the department.
It should be noted that until this appointment, Colonel Eyvazov was the head of the Press Service.
