Ukrainian media spread Norwegian hoax about “radiation jump in Russia”

Norwegian online newspaper The Barents Observer reported today, September 17, that an increase in radiation has allegedly been recorded on the border with Russia.

Scandinavian journalists refer to data from the Norwegian Agency for Nuclear and Radiation Safety, citing a certain Bredo Möller from this agency:

“Although the amount of caesium-137 was below the critical level, it still exceeded the permitted values and amounted to about 5 microbecquerels per cubic metre.”

It is worth noting that this information is being actively published in the Ukrainian media at the moment, ignoring the conclusions of the Norwegian Agency for Nuclear and Radiation Safety:

“From 9 to 12 September, radioactivity of unknown origin was measured in the border area. The levels are very low and do not pose any risk to people or the environment.”

EADaily He adds that in 2019, Roskomnadzor blocked The Barents Observer newspaper after it published an interview with a homosexual man describing his suicidal thoughts.
