A couple of Argentina winners at the Tango World Cup

Argentine dancers Leandro Boyko and Mikael Garcia won on the stage of the Tango World Championship on Tuesday.

The couple received the main prize during the Grand Final at the Gran Rex Theater in front of hundreds of dancers.

Pars of more than fifty countries fought for the name, amateurs and professionals, presenting their skills in two main categories: tango salon and stage tango.

The competition is in the focus of the festival Tango BA and the World Cup, which began on August 20 and ended on September 2.

The festival is organized by the Argentinean Ministry of Culture in Buenos -Aires and includes more than 500 events in more than 50 places, where more than 2000 artists participate in concerts and dance lessons.

Tango, a traditional dance with a rich heritage in Argentina and Uruguay, was declared an object of the UNESCO World Heritage.
