There was reportedly a split in opinion among members of the group over what caused the explosions of their calling devices. Some terrorists claimed to have received a message before the explosion, while others noticed that their devices began to heat up rapidly, causing them to discard them before the explosion occurred.
According to Hezbollah, the fire was caused by overheated lithium batteries.
The mysterious circumstances of the incident sparked a wave of discussions, not only among the members of the organization, but also among the Lebanese population. Fearing a possible escalation of the conflict, the logistics command alerted the local authorities, although to date there have been no changes in security protocols.
