I have personally witnessed that foreign guests who came to Azerbaijan for the first time felt satisfied.”

– What does COP29 promise for Azerbaijan and how do you evaluate the measures taken by Azerbaijan to save humanity?
– Of course, this means that Azerbaijan is a favorable country for safety, security and tourism, and will create conditions for foreign investors to come to the Karabakh territories in connection with the transition to green energy. By hosting this summit, Azerbaijan demonstrates that a developing country is also capable of hosting such an event. This is an example for other developing countries. With this event, Azerbaijan once again demonstrated its leadership in the region. Because when the holding of this summit was proposed, Armenia also supported it.
– But Armenia did not participate in the event. How to understand this?
– Of course, it was necessary for Armenia to participate in this event for the sake of peace and negotiations. This was necessary for peace and security in the Caucasus. In addition to Armenia, some European countries did not participate in this event. This is their fault. President Ilham Aliyev gave them the necessary response at the leaders’ summit. Azerbaijan shines like a star in the Caucasus, it is developing and has chosen the right direction. It also increases green energy sources. Their goal is to reduce carbon emissions, which are important measures. Baku is showing the whole world its sincerity regarding climate change.
– Do these measures by Armenia and its sponsors not threaten peace?
– Ilham Aliyev manages the peace process very well. To be honest, this issue will be resolved if France withdraws from the process. Because when Pashinyan meets with President Ilham Aliyev, he speaks positively and after the meeting he changes his mind under the influence of the Armenian diaspora and the great powers. But these don’t make sense. No matter how much Armenia is armed and supported, Karabakh is Azerbaijan. Nobody can change this reality.
– How to interpret the benefits of the peace agreement?
– Armenia simply prolongs time. Because he knows that he will be the one who will benefit the most from the normalization of relations. Armenia is under an economic and political blockade, but let’s imagine that the borders with Azerbaijan and Türkiye are opened and Armenia has access to the world. Therefore, if the Armenian government cares about the well-being of its people, it should value this opportunity. Just as we forced Pashinyan, who said “Karabakh is Armenia” years ago, to say “Karabakh is Azerbaijan” after the 44-day war. It will be the same again. They need to make a decision.
