Residents of the Sheki villages of Bash Kaldak and Oraban have been yearning for natural gas for years.
Residents obtain firewood from the forests for the upcoming cold months.
“We have never seen gas in our entire lives. The forests have been almost destroyed. The firewood fund only brings firewood for schools and gardens,” said a villager.
The situation is no different in the villages of Hasanli, Mollalar and Çeşmali in the Tovuz region. As there is no natural gas, residents use gas cylinders of different sizes to heat their homes and do household chores.
The Azerigas Production Union stated that gasification of the affected areas is not planned in the near future.
