Albacete Fair bids farewell this Tuesday with more than 3 million visitors

He Mayor of Albacete, Manuel Serranoassured that it is a “successful Fair” that has already been enjoyed by more than 3 million people, “a good Fair in every sense where there is consumption and, consequently, creation of business and jobs.”

According to Manuel Serrano, “a safe, clean and increasingly participatory Fair, which occupies more space in the hearts of the people of Albacete and with which we project ourselves more and more and are better known abroad and in other Spanish cities through something that” we export as the way of being and the character of the people of Albacete.

In this sense, the mayor assured that “security is one of the key elements to guarantee the success of the Fair” and “a source of pride for the society of Albacete”, ensuring that “the Local Police, the National Police and the Civil Guard “They do a commendable job of coordination, presence and interaction with visitors.” This was highlighted by Manuel Serrano, before the La Mancha Mass in honor of the Virgin of Los Llanos which took place this Tuesday at the Parc des Expositions, in which Fava collaborated again.

Serrano encouraged the people of Albacete to participate in all the events scheduled during the last 24 hours of the Fair “as if it were the first day”. Specifically, the pyromusical show that will begin at 10:30 p.m. at Temple of Music on Paseo de la Cubawith live music from the Municipal Symphony Orchestra, synchronized with fireworks, as well as the closing of the Puerta de Hierros with which “the new year begins in Albacete”.

On the other hand, the cave paintings of Nerpio closed the programming of the stand that the Regional Government maintained for another year at the Albacete Exhibition Center, on the occasion of the City Fair, and which was dedicated to archaeology and cave art of the province.

He Council Delegate, Pedro Antonio Ruiz Santoswas tasked with highlighting the rock heritage of Nerpio, in collaboration with the mayor of the city, José Antonio Gómez, and the tourism technician of Nerpio, Elena Sánchez.

During his speech, Ruiz Santos recalled that Nerpio has one of the most important rock groups of Levantine art and, as such, “it has demanded and requires protection and promotion, for which the Nerpio City Council has always had the support of the Regional Government.”

The mayor of Nerpio, for his part, chose the stand to, on the one hand, announce that his municipality will be the first to present a Self-Protection Plan for all its Levantine rock art shelters. “We have already drafted it and we will present it soon to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports,” he said.

And on the other hand, José Antonio Gómez wanted to launch a proposal to the regional government, to support Nerpio in its intention to become the reference center of the six communities that make up the region. A conference in which the effort made by the City Council to preserve and enhance the tradition and folklore of the city was highlighted. In fact, a music school and a folklore school are constantly active in the municipality, with the aim of keeping the figure of the dancers alive and present, ensuring that over time there is always a stable group. To which are added specific courses in drumming and pita playing for adults and children.
