Israel tops most competitive economies in global ranking

According to the Global Economic Competitiveness Index 2024 published by the IMD, Israel ranks 22nd in the world.

World of Statistics writes about this.

Singapore, recognised as the world’s most competitive economy, tops the list. Switzerland and Denmark round out the top three, taking second and third place respectively.

The top ten also includes countries such as Ireland (fourth place), Hong Kong (fifth place), Sweden (sixth place) and the United Arab Emirates (seventh place). The United States, despite its powerful economy, is ranked 12th, behind Qatar and Norway.

Ranked 22nd, Israel continues to demonstrate high competitiveness on the world stage, despite being behind the leaders in the ranking. The country is ahead of economies such as Germany (24th), Great Britain (28th) and France (31st). This points to the strengths of the Israeli economy, including its technology sector and innovative capabilities.

Other neighbouring countries of Israel in the ranking are Canada (19th), South Korea (20th) and Luxembourg (23rd). At the bottom of the list were countries such as Greece (47th), Romania (50th) and Latvia (45th).

The data in this study reflect the positions of countries based on various economic indicators such as productivity, innovation and the ability to attract investment.

Kursor previously reported on Israel’s position in the ranking of countries where vodka is consumed the most.
