The Media Development Agency and the COP29 Operation Company organized a joint visit to the State Reserve of History and Ethnography “Gala”, the State Reserve of History, Culture and Nature “Yanardag” and the State Reserve of History and Architecture “Templo Ateshgah” for foreign media representatives visiting our country.

It was reported that the guests of this media tour departed from the State Historical and Ethnographic Reserve “Gala”, which plays an important role in transmitting the history, culture and traditions of Azerbaijan to the next generation. In the complex of the open-air archaeological and ethnographic museum “Gala” journalists were presented with examples of ancient art, such as carpet weaving and ceramics. They got to know the mosque, the baths and the architectural and archaeological monuments located on the territory of the reserve.
Foreign media representatives also visited the State Historical-Architectural Reserve “Ateshgah Temple” and received detailed information about the history of the ancient monument. It was reported that the “Fire Temple”, located 30 kilometers from the center of Baku, in the Surakhani region, is known throughout the world. The temple, built in the style of local architectural traditions, combines the features of ancient fire shrines.
The guests went to the State Historical-Cultural and Natural Reserve “Yanardag” located in the Mahammadi village of Absheron and observed the miracle that was ignited as a result of the release of natural gas at the foot of the mountain. It was highlighted that, in addition to the volcano, there are the “Wolf’s Den” cave, two centuries-old cemeteries, a sulfur spring, the still active Qirmaki mud volcano and other examples of material and cultural heritage.
