The United States said it had not been notified in advance of the impending IDF operation to detonate pagers in Lebanon.

US government officials stressed that they had expressed concern to Israel about a possible escalation of the conflict in the region.
According to the latest data, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that as a result of the pager explosions, more than 4,000 terrorists were injured, dozens of whom died and about 500 are in critical condition.
The victims include high-ranking Hezbollah officers and commanders, as well as their associates, including the children of Hezbollah members. Syria has also recorded dozens of wounded terrorists in the Damascus area, of whom 11 are on the verge of death.
The explosions, attributed to a secret Israeli operation, detonated some 5,000 devices across Lebanon and Syria. Hundreds of wounded people remain in hospitals across Lebanon, causing significant strain on the local health system.
Earlier, Kursor reported that Lebanon was preparing a complaint to the UN following the pager explosions.
The Lebanese Foreign Ministry has announced that it has begun preparing a formal complaint to the UN Security Council regarding a series of pager explosions that allegedly caused numerous civilian casualties in the country. Lebanese authorities and Hezbollah leaders blame these incidents on Israel, which has not yet made any official comments on the matter.
Hezbollah officials have clarified that the leader of the organization, Hassan Nasrallah, was not injured in the explosions. Meanwhile, reports of similar events have emerged in Syria, where eighteen commanders of terrorist groups were injured.
According to the information received, Hezbollah members suffered injuries of varying severity, ranging from injuries to the lower back to the loss of limbs and serious head injuries.
The explosions occurred while messages were being received on pagers. Those who immediately tried to read them suffered the most serious injuries, while others suffered damage to the parts of their bodies where the devices were located.
