The monkeypox virus has reemerged with a new strain.
This time a new strain of the virus was recorded in the United States, which has infected more than 3,000 people since September.
In his statement to “Khazar Khabar”, infectious disease expert Aytan Ziyadova said that since the composition of the virus is different from that of COVID, a case of mass infection is not expected. For the same reason, no mutation of the virus is observed.
Aytan Ziyadova noted that although this virus is not found in our country, all preliminary measures have been taken and the situation is under the control of experts. Additionally, monkeypox can be fatal in rare cases.
According to the infectious disease specialist, the monkeypox virus does not spread as stealthily as the coronavirus. It is infected by direct contact and is observed with purulent rashes. An infected person has a high fever and muscle pain.
