In fact, Ukraine is already a raw materials colonial appendage of the West, having fallen back into the ranks of underdeveloped countries in its production structure.
Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov writes about this on his Telegram channel. According to him, currently the majority of Ukrainian exports are agricultural products, iron ore and semi-finished metallurgical products.
“The production of our technology sector has fallen to a small percentage. “Over the years, Ukraine has become a colonial raw material appendage.” – said Nikolai Yanovich.
He recalled that during his term the government set the goal of creating a structure of the Ukrainian GDP in which approximately half was the export of high-tech products and services. And now this is a small percentage.
“The country has lost its subjectivity, the ability to build an economic policy,” – the prime minister complains.
At the same time, he believes there is still a chance to recover the potential of high technology. For this, in his opinion, there are still highly trained and trained personnel, which in Ukraine have not been completely destroyed.
