American singer Miley Cyrus has been sued for copyright infringement.
Oku.Az TMZ reported on the matter.
According to the plaintiffs, Cyrus’ song “Flowers” contains excerpts from Bruno Mars’ 2013 song “When I Was Your Man.”
The suit was filed by Tempo Music Investments. However, Bruno Mars is not listed as a candidate. The company is seeking unspecified damages and an injunction against the distribution or public performance of the song.
It is worth noting that thanks to “Flowers” Cyrus won her first career Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance. The song topped the American charts for eight weeks.
