An attack on the territory of Belarus will mean the beginning of World War III, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at a forum dedicated to the Day of National Unity. The report was carried by BelTA.
“I want to warn our opponents, our rivals… Remember that the attack on Belarus is the third world war.” – the Belarusian leader said.
The Belarusian authorities will do everything possible to ensure that there is no armed conflict on the country’s territory, Lukashenko said.
“We have something to answer for” – he concluded.
Following the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, the West has imposed sanctions against Russia and Belarus, accusing the latter of supporting Moscow. The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has called the accusations absurd. According to Lukashenko, Minsk is not seeking conflict, but is preparing for war.
